How we write and check the guides, tools and app comparisons on gobeast.com, and what we will and won't say.

Who writes our pages

Every guide, tool page and comparison on this site is published under the byline of the GoBeast founder, who is responsible for what it says. The founder is not a doctor or a physiotherapist, and the byline says so.

We never invent experts, credentials or testimonials. No page uses a "Dr." persona, says it is doctor-approved, or quotes reviews we can't link to.

Each page shows the date its facts and sources were last reviewed. We change that date only when we have actually checked the page again.

Health statements and our claims register

Every health statement on this site and in the app comes from one internal document, our claims register. For each statement it holds the exact wording we may use, the sources behind it, how strong the evidence is, and its limits. If a statement isn't in the register, it doesn't go on a page.

The register also sets rules for how we write:

  • We don't say pelvic-floor training cures, treats or fixes any condition, and we never call anything guaranteed or clinically proven.
  • No study has tested GoBeast itself, so we don't claim GoBeast has any effect on your health. We describe what research on pelvic-floor training found, with its limits.
  • We hedge: "has been studied for", "may help", "in one small trial". When the evidence is small or mixed, the page says so.
  • We don't publish results numbers, such as seconds or percentages, and we never promise results by a date.
  • Nothing sexual or explicit. Diagrams are simple line drawings.

How we choose sources

We look for clinical guidelines first, for example from the European Association of Urology, the American Urological Association and NICE. Then systematic reviews, then individual trials. For plain-language safety advice we use NHS pages.

We cite the guideline or paper itself, not another website's summary of it. Each page lists its sources at the end, numbered and linked, with the date we last checked them, and each health statement points to its source.

Safety comes first

Every exercise page tells you to stop if it hurts and to see a doctor, and lists the signs that need a doctor or an emergency number. Pages about a health condition put "see a doctor" before anything about training, and keep the GoBeast app out of the research sections.

Medical review status

No page on this site has been medically reviewed yet.

We plan to have a physiotherapist who specialises in men's pelvic health reviewing our exercise guides in early 2027. Until then, nothing on this site has been medically reviewed.

When a reviewer has checked a page, it will say "Reviewed by" with their name, qualification and the date. We will add that line only after they have signed off that page and agreed in writing to be named. Pages they haven't reviewed won't carry it. Reviewed pages are checked again every year, and whenever the evidence behind them changes.

Until then, the claims register and the published sources it lists are the only check on our health statements. We tell you that here so you can judge our pages with it in mind.

Comparing other apps

We make GoBeast, a Kegel app for men, so we have a conflict of interest when we compare Kegel apps. Every comparison page says so at the top.

  • Facts only. Price, trial terms, rating and number of ratings, the categories on the store privacy label, and what the listing itself says.
  • From public listings. Every fact comes from the app's App Store or Google Play listing, or its own website.
  • Dated. Each table shows the date we checked it. We check again every month and when a listing changes, and drop any figure we can't confirm.
  • Fair. We say where another app is the better pick. We don't repeat other apps' claims about results, and we don't present user complaints as fact.

We don't add star ratings or review markup for other apps.

Corrections

Found a mistake, or a fact about your app that is out of date? Email support@gobeast.com with the page and what's wrong. A person replies within 2 business days.

If we got it wrong, we fix the page and update its review date. For anything more than a typo, we add a dated note to the page saying what changed.

How we pay for this

GoBeast is paid for by subscriptions to the app. There are no ads on this site or in the app. We don't use affiliate links, publish sponsored posts or take payment to mention or rank any product.

What we measure

This site sets no cookies and runs no trackers or analytics. When someone joins the waitlist, we record which page they signed up from, so we can tell which guides are useful. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
