Kegel game: squeeze on the beat
A free Kegel exercise game in your browser. Squeeze while a gold note crosses the line and let go in the gaps. New to Kegels? Start with Kegel exercises for men.
Play
How it works
- Gold note on the line: hold Space or the big button, and squeeze the muscle you'd use to hold in wind. About half your strongest.
- Gap or blue note: let go and stay soft.
- Keep breathing, with your belly and buttocks relaxed.
Your phone can't feel the muscle. The game times your presses, so the squeeze is on the honour system. If anything hurts, press Pain.
2 minutes, ending with a Release round. Esc pauses. Keep this page open with the screen on.
Yes, there's a free Kegel game, right above this. Squeeze on the beat is a 2-minute rhythm game. Gold notes scroll toward a line, you squeeze while a note crosses it, and you let go in the gaps. Your phone can't feel the muscle, so the game scores your timing only. The squeeze itself is on the honour system.
How to play
- Pick a tempo and press Start. First time? Lie on your back with your knees bent.
- When a gold note reaches the line, hold Space or the big button and squeeze the muscle you'd use to hold in wind. About half your strongest is plenty.
- Let go when the note ends. Keep your finger off in the gaps and on the blue Relax notes.
- The last 16 seconds are a Release round. Breathe in and let it go soft, breathe out and stay soft. No pressing.
Try to avoid holding your breath, pulling in your abdomen or tensing your buttocks.1 Esc pauses, and Pain stops the game at once. Prefer to follow a voice with no score? Use the free Kegel timer.
The three tempos
| Tempo | Squeezes | Gaps |
|---|---|---|
| Slow | 3 seconds | 3 seconds |
| Steady | 2 to 3 seconds | 2 to 3 seconds |
| Quick | 1 to 3 seconds | 1 to 4 seconds |
Start on Slow, and move up when you can hit most notes while breathing normally. Quick isn't a harder workout, only a different rhythm. The effort stays at about half your strongest.
How the score works
- In sync is the share of the game where your button matched the lane: pressed on gold, released everywhere else. The 150 milliseconds around each note edge don't count against you.
- On the beat means you pressed and let go within 350 milliseconds of the note's edges.
- Stayed soft is how much of the blue notes you spent with your finger off.
Your best score for each tempo is saved in this browser only, so you can try to beat it next time.
What a game can't do
It can't feel your pelvic floor. Pressing a button on time and squeezing on time are different things, and only you know if you did both. Games that measure the squeeze itself need a sensor device. This one trains rhythm and attention: noticing when to squeeze, and noticing when to let go.
