What to look for in a Dr. Kegel alternative

Judge any Kegel app on four things: voice or audio cues, a release phase, progression and guidance written for men. Then check the billing. Here's how Dr. Kegel's listing measures up, so you know what to look for elsewhere.

What to look forDr. KegelIn an alternative
Voice or audio cuesVibration only; no voice mentionedLook for "audio" or "voice" in the listing
A release or relax phaseNot statedReverse Kegels or a relaxation set, and a pain stop
Progression"The difficulty automatically adjusts to you"Levels you can see, and what happens after time off
Guidance for menYes, the app is built for menCues that describe the male pelvic floor
BillingTen prices, including a $4.99 weekly planNo weekly plan, one price per plan length, the billed amount shown clearly

Why guidance for men matters: the best-known UK trial taught men to check that "the base of your penis" moves "nearer to your abdomen" and the "testicles rise" as they squeeze.1 Red flags anywhere: a trial toggle on the paywall, a renewal price in small print, and weekly plans. Our guide to choosing a Kegel app shows how to check the billing before you pay.
